Tour Summary/ Features:
Day 01: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park.
Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park via Namanga on the Kenya / Tanzania border. Lunch at the Luxury Camp followed by afternoon game drive .This provides a chance to see Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, Hippos, a wide variety of Bird Life and many other plains game. Dinner and sleep at Kibo Safari Luxury Tented Camp or Sentrim Amboseli Luxury Tented Camp.
Day 02: Amboseli National Park.
Early morning game drive when Mt. Kilimanjaro usually appears from its mantle of clouds with a good chance to take pictures of the Mountain with Wildlife at the background. Later proceed for an evening game drive. Dinner and sleep at Kibo Safari Luxury Tented Camp or Sentrim Amboseli Luxury Tented Camp.
Day 03: Amboseli National Park – Mount Kenya.
Depart Amboseli for Mount Kenya found in the area of Central Part of Kenya via Nairobi for picnic lunch. The drive takes about 8 hours from Amboseli to Mount Kenya through the beautiful surroundings as you get into the Kikuyu Farmlands along the way where one can see pineapple and coffee plantations. Time permitting, a nature walk into Mount Kenya Forest – Mau Mau Caves. Dinner and sleep at Simbas Lodge.
Day 04: Mount Kenya – Samburu Game Reserve.
Depart Mount Kenya for Samburu Game Reserve; situated at the Southern corner of Samburu district with game drive on the way. Lunch at the campsite followed by an afternoon game drive in search for lions, elephants, gerenuk, gravy’s zebra, Oryx, the reticulated giraffe and other plains game. Dinner and sleep at the camp.
Day 05: Samburu Game Reserve
Early morning game drive, return to the campsite for breakfast, after breakfast another game drive, return for lunch at the campsite, siesta at the campsite followed by an evening game drive. Dinner and sleep at the camp.
Day 06: Samburu Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park.
Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located [Picnic Lunch enroute]. Lake Nakuru is a shallow strongly alkaline lake set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland and is home to thousands of Flamingoes, Buffalo, Lions, Zebra, Giraffe & other animal & Bird Species. On arrival check into hotel Genevieve (budget). Afterwards proceed on for an evening game drive and afterwards return for dinner and sleep at the hotel.
Day 07: Lake Nakuru National Park- Masai Mara Game Reserve.
After breakfast depart for the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve driving through the spectacular Great Rift Valley via Narok town, the major Masai administration centre. Plain game can be found here in staggering numbers that in turn supports a tremendous predator population. You arrive for lunch at the campsite. Later an evening game drive which provides you with an opportunity to see herds of buffaloes, lions, impalas, giraffes, elephants and other wildlife. Dinner and sleep at Manyatta Camp.
Day 08: Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Morning and afternoon game drives exploring wildlife with picnic lunch, dinner and overnight at the Campsite.
This day provides an opportunity of engaging in Balloon Safari. Balloon Safari allows one to view wildlife from the sky as you fly over the Masai Mara vast plains.
Day 09: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early breakfast & depart the campsite with picnic lunch for full day game drives. The game drive extends to Mara River – hippo point where lunch is enjoyed. There after proceed on the game drive in search of many other plains game returning to the campsite by 18.00p.m, dinner and overnight.
On this day you have an option of visiting a Maasai Village. This visit is for learning and enjoying the Masai culture. One sees their ways of life, their homestead and learns their values.
Day 10: Masai Mara Game – Nairobi.
Early morning game drive then return for breakfast. There after leave for Nairobi enjoying a picnic lunch enroute and arriving by late afternoon. Arrive Nairobi and drop off at your hotel or at the airport.
