DAY 1: MOMBASA - TSAVO EAST (170 kms, Appx 3 hrs)

We depart our hotel on the inland ”safari” journey via the “explorers” route - Mombasa - Nairobi highway. The 120km - 2hrs dawn journey takes us to the southern entry point of the Bachuma gate where we stop briefly for refreshments.
We enter the park and commence game viewing drives in the direction of our accommodation base. We will check in, freshen up and enjoy a buffet lunch followed by relaxation as we await the late afternoon game viewing drive after the sun lull.
Our relaxed game viewing drive takes us on the trails of the big five with magnificent views of the African sunset before returning to our accommodation bases for dinner “anecdotal” evening and overnight.

DAY 2: TSAVO EAST - WEST (100 kms, Appx 2 hrs)

We will be ready before the sun. Dawn finds us set for our pre-breakfast game drive. “All ingredients for a wonderful day are in place,” the splendor of an African sunrise dominates the jungle as we transverse the vast park in search of the early grazers and hunters. We return to our base for breakfast and checkout. A final easy lap of the park will follow before we settle down for a buffet lunch. “On the road again!”……………………… On to Tsavo West where we commence game viewing on entry. We will check in at our accommodation base before venturing to the Rhino Sanctuary. We later retire to our base for meals and overnight.

DAY 3: TSAVO WEST - MOMBASA (240 kms, Appx 5 hrs)

Our last day on safari! Out with the sunrise for a pre-breakfast game viewing drive in search of game. Nature is at it’s best with the predators out for the hunt and the grazers browsing the soft, dewy vegetation. Natural colors dominate the scenic volcanic terrain. Return to base for a sumptuous buffet breakfast. After breakfast, we will venture out again; this time to visit the Mzima Springs with more game viewing en-route.
Here, we disembark and marvel at the underground source of sparkling clear waters and the surrounding greenery……, “A welcome reprieve in this semi-desert terrain” We view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and unique migratory birds. We later return to our base for lunch. After lunch, we depart Tsavo West for the Coast; we will be dropped off at our respective hotels, residence or ship.
